Samsung's Android XR glasses cleared the FCC.

Droid Life reported the FCC filing on Sept. 30, 2026. Models SM-O200P and SM-O200J. No display. A Samsung official told The Korea Herald the launch is November. That is not a ship date.

Devon Dooley / So Basically

So basically: Samsung’s first Android XR glasses cleared the FCC, in reports dated around Sept. 30, 2026. The models are SM-O200P and SM-O200J. They have no display. Gemini sits on the glasses, and the heavier AI runs on a connected Galaxy phone.

The filing

Droid Life wrote on Sept. 30 that two Samsung pairs had gone through the FCC. The FCC calls them Extended Reality Glasses.

Android Authority and SamMobile list the base models as SM-O200J and SM-O200P. SamMobile says the paperwork shows a power button on the inside of the temples.

Droid Life matched the J design to Gentle Monster and the P design to Warby Parker from the label drawings. Samsung has not confirmed that mapping.

SamMobile says both models support Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7, plus Bluetooth 5.3.

What the launch talk actually is

Android Authority, citing The Korea Herald, says a Samsung official said the first AI glasses will launch in November 2026. That is not a dated Samsung ship announcement. There is no price. There is no day inside November.

Android Authority says these first models do not put a display in front of your eyes. They use cameras, microphones, speakers, and Gemini. The harder AI work runs on a connected Galaxy phone. The glasses are the light add-on, not a phone replacement.

SamMobile says Samsung has previously said the glasses can last up to nine hours on a charge, and the case can add up to seven more charges. That battery line is from Samsung’s earlier note, not from the FCC filing.

Android Authority also says Samsung has described recording lights on the inside and the outside of the frame, and that the camera shuts off if the outside light is covered.

My take

This is a radio clearance, not a launch. November is one Samsung official talking to The Korea Herald. The Gentle Monster and Warby Parker split is a read of label drawings until Samsung says it.

So basically — pass it on.
