ITER Just Got the Last Big Piece of Its Fusion Machine

Europe's fifth and final vacuum vessel sector reached the ITER site in France on Oct. 2. ITER says every core component of the machine is now on site. Research operations are still set to start in 2034.

JERA, Dell, and RHAELM plan a 400 MW AI site in Chiba.

On Oct. 1, 2026 the three signed a memo for a behind the meter AI project at JERA's Chiba Thermal Power Station. Up to 400 MW. Capital expected above $15 billion. Operations targeted around 2028. Not built yet.

Samsung's Android XR glasses cleared the FCC.

Droid Life reported the FCC filing on Sept. 30, 2026. Models SM-O200P and SM-O200J. No display. A Samsung official told The Korea Herald the launch is November. That is not a ship date.

SpaceX Targets Monday for 21 SDA Data Satellites

SpaceX lists SDA's fourth Tranche 1 data transport mission for 1:17 a.m. PT Oct. 5 from Vandenberg. The backup is 1:08 a.m. PT Oct. 6. Falcon 9 is set to put 21 satellites into the fourth orbital plane.

On Sept. 29 in Seoul, Neubility unveiled Billy, a wheeled robot with two five-finger hands. One unit is headed to a CJ CheilJedang food plant this year. Neubility hopes for several hundred in one to two years.
