California Signed Robotaxi Fines for Blocking First Responders

Gov. Newsom signed SB 1246 on Sept. 30. Starting July 1, 2028, a robotaxi that blocks an emergency for more than 30 minutes after a technician is requested can cost its company up to $10,000 per vehicle.
